HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1996-645• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 96 - 645 RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CITY CENTER SUBCOMMITTEE TO RECOMMEND A COURSE OF ACTION REGARDING THE CITY CENTER RETAIL ENTERTAINMENT PROPERTY WHEREAS, on June 26, 1996 the Plymouth City Council adopted Resolution 96-365, which conditionally designated Frauenshuh Ccmpanies as developer of land owned by the City at the northeast corner of Highway 55 and Vicksburg Lane for retail and entertainment uses, consistent with the Concept Plan and Design Guidelines for the City Center Area; and WHEREAS, on September 18, 1996, tfie Council extended Frauenshuh's designation as developer of the site contingent upon the company making a formal application for site plan approval for the project by November 1, 1996 and entering into a development agreement approved by the Plymouth City Council by November 20, 1996; and WHEREAS, Frauer 3huh has not met the conditions required by the Council, Frauenshuh's designation as developer of the City's property has therefore expired, and the City Council has terminated negotiations with them; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the City Center Subcommittee is hereby directed to develop and recommend a course of action regarding the possible sale of the property, and the Subcommittee shall meet to discuss this matter not earlier than December 4, 1996 and report back to the Council at its December 18, 1996 meeting.
