HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1996-595• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION % - 595 APPROVING A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR OLYMPIC STEEL, INC. FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 625 XENIUM LANE NORTH (96142) WHEREAS, Olympic Steel, Inc. has requested a Site Plan Amendment to allow installation of 25 parking spaces on the west side of the existing building; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Meeting and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Olympic Steel, Inc. for a Site Plan Amendment, subject to the following conditions: 1. This Site Plan Amendment allows installation of 25 parking spaces on the west side of the existing building, in accordance with the plans received by the City on September 16, 1996, except as amended by this resolution. 2. The proposed drive aisle on the west side of the building must also serve :s a fire lane and must be constructed to fire lane standards, including a minimum width of 20 feet and a weight capacity of seven ton. 3. The bollards to protect the fire hydrant shall be approved by the Fire Inspector. 4, Compliance with the Fire Code regarding the location of fire lane signage. 5. The Fire Inspector may require elimination of a parking space if it conflicts with the location of a fire hydrant. 6. Compliance with State and Federal requirements for handicapped parking. 7. Submission of a plan indicating erosion control measures and existing grades. 8. Standard Conditions: A. Submission of requircd Financial Guarantee and Site Performance Agreement for completion of site improvements within twelve months of the date of this resolutiot►. B. An 8 1l2 x 11 inch "As Built" Fire Protection Plan shall be submitted prior to the release or reduction of any site improvement bonds per City Policy, C. The site plan is subject to all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Resolution 96- 595 Page 2 D. Any subsequent phases or expansions am subject to required reviews and approvals per Ordinance provisions. Adopted by the City Council on November 6, 1996. STATE OF MINNESOTA) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN) SS.
