RESOLUTION NO. 96-480
EXPRESSING CITY'S CONCERN WITH FORMAT AND TIMELINEM OF
HENNEPIN COUNTY'S CALCULATION OF CAPTURED TAX CAPACITY
VALUE FOR PLYMOUTH'S TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, the City is in the final stages of preparing the proposed 1997 budget and
tax levies; and
wHEREAS, the captured tax capacity values for the tax increment financing districts
are an integral part of determining the City's tax levy rate; and
MUEREAS, the format and timeliness of receiving these numbers from Hennepin
County makes the entire budget process difficult and potentially inaccurate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City of Plymouth
requests that Hennepin County consider implementing measures to improve the format
and timeliness for the calculation of the captured tax capacity value for the tax
increment districts.
