RESCINDING AWARD OF BID TO M.ENBERG WATRUD AND AWARDING BID
PAKCAGE 4.1 FOR FOUNDATION AND SUBGRADE CONCRETE AND MASONRY
CONSTRUCTION TO NOR'ITIM ANI► CONCRETE R MASONRY CO.
WHEREAS, the City *,nwioudy awarded the contract to Steenberg -Waved in the amount of
$815,000 for foundation and subgrade concrete and masonry construction and,
WHEREAS, it is now apparent that Steenberg-Watrud cannot fulfill the obligation under the
contract, and
WHEREAS, Steenberg-Watrud has voluntarily agreed to widhdraw from the project, and
WHEREAS, the second low bidder, Northland Concrete and Masonry Co., has agreed to
accept the contract in the amount of $835,000, and
WHEREAS, the City's convection manager and architect and staff aro recommending that
we award this bid to the second low bidder,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, 'THAT the award of bid to Steenberg-Watrud
Construction Co., is hereby Lexinded, and further that this award has now been made to
Northland Concrete A Masonry Co. In the amount of $835,000.
