HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1996-382CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLttT ON NU. % - 382 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID 1996 PARK BOND TRAIL I?dPROVFA1EbM CITY PROJECT NO. 417 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids fol .ie construction of the 1996 Park Bond Trail Improvements and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Barber Construction Co., Inc. $664,095.20 Sunmm Construction, Inc. 721,768.10 Lan Dar, Inc. 763,975.90 Northwest Asphalt, Inc. 796,930.20 WHEREAS, it appears that Barber Construction Company, Inc. of Hopkins, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Barber Construction Company, Inc. of Hopkins, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the 1996 Park Bond Trail Improvements according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of $664,095.20. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
