AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO REIMBURSE WAYZATA SCHOOL
DISTRICT 284 $55000 FOR A NEW PLAYGROUND AT GREENWOOD
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
WHEREAS, Greenwood Elementary School has requested assistance with the
upgrading of playground equipment at their school, and
WHEREAS, the walking neighborhood surrounding Greenwood Elementary School has
been short playground equipment for preschool age children, and
WHEREAS, recent housing developments in this area have contributed significant
dollars to the park dedication accounts, and
WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Advisory Commission and the Director of Park
and Recreation have both recommended approval of this funding agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the Director of Finance is authorized to
reimburse Wayzata School District 284 $55,000 for the recent improvements made at
Greenwood Elementary School playground and site improvements, and further, that
funding for this will come from park dedication acco3unt 219-219 as shown in the
recently adopted capital improvements program.
