APPROVAL OF EXTENSION OF THE PARATRANSIT SERVICE AGREEMENT
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL AND CITY OF PLYMOUTH
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has previously voted to discontinue Paratransit
service within the City of Plymouth effective October 1, 1995; and
WHEREAS, an agreement was prepared which continued Paratransit service for the
period commencing October 1, 1995 through June 30, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the agreement provides for the cost sharing of this service between the City
of Plymouth and the Metropolitan Council; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to continue Paratransit service on an interim basis; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth and the Metropolitan Council concur that the existing
cost sharing agreement should be extended for a six month period from July 1, 1996
through December 31, 1996.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Mayor and City Manager are
authorized to enter into the extension of the Agreement with the Metropolitan Council for
Paratransit service.
Adopted by the City Council on June 26, 1996.
