ACCEPTING DONATION OF LOG CABIN FOR INSTALLATION
IN PARKERS LAKE PARK
WHEREAS, the original approved master plan for Parkers Lake Park called for the log
cabin on County Road 6 and Shenandoah Lane to be relocated from its current site to
Parkers Lake Park, and
WHEREAS, an evaluation of the log cabin determined that it was too deteriorated to
move, and
WHEREAS, former Plymouth resident Carol Creelman has offered to pay the cost of
replicating the log cabin, and additional costs up to $10,000 for installation in Parkers
Lake Park, and
WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Advisory Commission has recommended
acceptance of Mrs. Creelman's donation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that Carol Creelman's donation of the replicated
log cabin and an additional donation of $10,000 for site work is hereby accepted, and
further, that up to $10,000 may be spent from the panic dedication account 218-218 to
cover the remaining site work costs.
