RESOLUTION 96-327
APPROVING THE BIAS/HATE CR]h1ES
PLYMOUTH
PLAN FOR THE CITY OF
WHEREAS, crimes motivated by bias, hate, or prejudice may be perpetrated against
residents of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Human Rights Commission believes that a community
response in support of the victims of bias and hate crimes is an effective means of
demonstrating that crimes of this type will not be tolerated in the City of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Human Rights Commission has developed a BiaslHate
Crimes Response Plan involving the Plymouth Public Safety Department and an extensive
community network;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Plymouth City Council hereby
approves the Plymouth Bias/Hate Crimes Response Plan as found in the attachment to the
resolution.
