Awarding Bid for Structural Steel, Longspan Joists, Roof Decking
and Steel Erection
WHEREAS, the City formally advertised for sealed bids on the providing of structural
steel, longspan joists, roof decking and steel erection for the City's ice arena project,
and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on Thursday, May 23, at 3 p. m., and
WHEREAS, the following three bids were received on supplying structural steel,
longspan joists and roof decking:
American Structural Metals
L.L. LeJuene Steel
Listol

$513,000
$552,682
AND, WHEREAS, the following two bids were received on the steel erection:
Amerect
Listol
$154,556
$171,404
AND, WHEREAS, the City's construction manager is recommending that we award the
bids as shown,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the contract for sup,)lying structural steel,
longspan joists and roof decking be awarded to American Structural Metals in the
amount of $511,500, and further, that the bid for the erection of structural steel and roof
decking be awarded to Amerect in the amount of $154,556, and further, that all costs
for this work will be charged to the ice arena project number 541.
