RESOLUTION NLO. 96-313
APPROVING THE PRFIXAIIVARY MASTER PLAN FOR THE NORTHEAST
NEIGHBORHOOD PARR, AND ESTABLISHU NG A PROJECT BUDGET OF 5250,700.
WHEREAS, the Northeast Neighborhood Park has been in the Comprehensive Park Plan since
its approval in 1982; and
WHEREAS, the City acquired the final piece of vie required property with the platting of The
Ponds at Bass Creek; and
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the hiring of a consultant to complete a master plan
for the NE Neighborhood Park; and
WHEREAS, the Park Commission has held twc planning meetings with walking neighborhood
11 to receive resident input on the park master r tan; and
WHEREAS, the Park Commission at its May 9th meeting accepted and moved to forward the
Preliminary Master Plan for the NE Neighborhood Park to the City Council for its approval;
and
WHEREAS, the 1996 Capitol Improvement Program includes funding for Neightorhood Park
development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY FMOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, %hat the Preliminary Master Plan for the Northeast
Neighborhood Park be approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the design consultant is authorized to prepare final plans
and specifications for this project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the budget for the Northeast Neighborhood Park be
allocated $250,700; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Finance Director is authorized to transfer
$250,700 from the Park Dedication Account to the project account for use in the construction
of the Northeast Neighborhood Park.
