RESOLUTION NO. 96-308
APPROVING A NEW HOUSING CONSORTIUM AGREEMENT WITH HENNEPIN
COUNTY AND AUTHORIZING A CHANGE IN THE STARTING DATE FOR THE
PROGRAM YEAR FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
(CDBG) PROGRAM
WHEREAS, certain benefits accrue to the City in the management of the CDBG and other
HUD programs by the City's membership in the Hennepin Housing Consortium; and
WHEREAS, continued membership in the Consortium requires that the City Council approve
execution of a new Consortium Agreement and authorize a change in the annual start date for
ths- City's CDBG program year to July 1, effeztive during 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth HRA, which manages tha City's CDBG program, has
recommended in its Resolution 96-04 that the City Council approve execution of a new
Consortium Agreement with Hennepin County and authorize a change to the annual CDBG
Program year start date;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the Joint Cooperation Agreement Hennepin
Housing Consortium with Hennepin County commencing October 1, 1996, including a change
to the start date for Plymouth's CDBG program year to July 1, effective during 1997, as
required by regulations of the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development be
approved and that the mayor and City Manager be authorized to sign the agreement on behalf
of the City.
