HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1996-303CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION % - 303 APPROVING A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT AND VARIANCES FOR OLYMPIC STEEL INC., FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 625 XENIUM LANE N. (96058) WHEREAS, Olympic Steel Inc. has requested a Site Plan Amendment and Variances to allow an addition to an existing industrial huilding on property legaily described on the attached Exhibit" A"; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Olympic Steel Inc. for a Site Plan Amendment and Variances, subject to the following conditions: 1. The Site Plan Amendment approval is for a 4,800 square -foot addition to an existing industrial building, according to the plans received by the City on May 10, 1996, except as amended by this resolution. 2. The site plan is subject to all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. 3. A Variance is granted for a four -foot drive aisle setback to the building. The request meets the Variance standards. 4. A Variance is granted for a 47.7 percent building coverage. The regltest meets the Variance standards. In addition, the request complies with the finding adopted by Resolution 81-843 when the building coverage was pennitted to increase to 46.52 percent. 5. Standard Conditions: A. Compliance with the City Engineer's Memorandum. B. Compliance with Policy Resolution 79-8C regarding minimum floor elevptions for new structures on sites adjacent to, or containing any open stone water drainage facility. C. Submission of required Financial Guarantee and Site Performance Agreement for completion of site improvwments within twelve months of the date of this resolution. D. Any signage shall be in compliance with he Ordinance. E. Any subsequent phases or expansiors are subject to required reviews and approvals per Ordinance pro visions. 96058, Page 2 F. Compliance with all Fire Codes and Policies, including those regarding the location of fire hydrants and fire department connection, fire lanes, area fire lane signage. G. An 8 1/2 x 11 inch "As Built" Fire Protecti .)n Plan shall be submitted prior to the release or reduction of any site improvement bonds per City Policy. H. Compliance with State and Federal requirements for handicapped parking requirements. Adopted by the City Council on June 5, 1996. STATE OF MINNESOTA) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN) SS.
