ESTABLISH PUBLIC HEARING
ONE-WAY SYSTEMS AND CLOSING A SEGMENT OF
EAST MEDICINE LAKE BLVD. FOR MOTORIZED VEHICLES
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 160.263 authorizes the City to designate a street under
City jurisdiction as a "bicycle lane" and to close it off to motorized vehicles; and
WHBRBAS, a public hearing is required to consider such street closure; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is considering alternatives to provide a pedestrian trail along
Bast Medicine Lake Boulevard which could include one-way street system and closing of a
segment of the street.
NOW, TFIEREFORB, BE 1T HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That a public hearing is established at the
Council meeting on June 19, 1996 to consider one-way systems and street closure on Bast
Medicine Lake Boulevard from 18th Avenue to Medicine Ridge Road.
FURTHER, that staff is directed to publish notice of said hearing ten days in advance of
the hearing and mail a notice to the abutting property owners.
Adopted by the City Council on May 15, 1996.
