CITY OF PLYMOUTH
RESOLUTION N0. % - G72
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING APPLICATION FOR TRANSIT
CAPITAL FUNDING FROM THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has requested applications from transit agencies
and transit authorities in the metropolitan area for trait capital project funding; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth operates a Replacement Transit service known as
Plymouth Metrolink under Minnesota Statutes Section 473.388; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth desires regional transit funding for transit copital
improvement projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth strongly endorses the application to the Metropolitan
Council on behalf of Plymouth Metrolink for transit capital improvement project funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Plymouth City Council supports
and encourages application to the Metropolitan Council for transit capital project fundinp
for Plymouth Metrolink as follows:
• Dispatch Equipment, Radios and Mobile Data Terminals, for Dial -A -
Ride Dispatch 'Pransfer - Total Estimated Cost: $20,000
• Four Seasons Mall Park and Ride Lot Enhancements -
Total Estimated Cost: $66,668
• Highway 55/Co. Rd. 73 Park and Ride Lot Redesign -
Total Estimated Cost: $346,065
• Bus Stop, Signage and Shelter Project -
Total Estimated Cost: $242,000
• Cost Sharing Signalization at 36th Avenue North and Lancaster -
Total Estimated Cost: $55,000
