HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1996-227• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 227 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 19% STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 602 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on March 20, 1996 the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of certain streets in Maintenance Districts: District 29 - All streets located west of Nathan Lane, south of Schmidt Lake Road, generally east of Revere Lane and north of 46th Avenue; District 33 - All streets located east of Pilgrim Lane between 32nd Avenue and 36th Avenue, including Pilgrim Lane by subgrade correction, crack filling, bituminous overlays and reconstruction and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: I. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City Engineer's office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids ujon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m, on May 8, 1996 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Hadley Lake Conference Room of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Cleik for five percent of the amount of such bid.
