APPROVING THE USE OF $1009000 FROM THE COMMUNUY MPROVE IE T
FUND FOR PLANNING AND DESIGN OF THE EAST MEDICINE LAKE TRAEL
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, completing the trail system around Medicine Lake long has been a goal
of the City of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth and Hennepin County Regional Parks are now
ready to move forward with the Bast Medicine Lake Tail project; and
WHEREAS, providing funding in 1996 of $100,000 for planning and design of the
trail project will help advance the project; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends the Community Improvement Fund as the source for
planning and design funding for the Bast Medicine Lake Trail project; and
WHEREAS, the requirements of City Code Section 321 regarding the use of
Community Improvement Funds have been met and the City Council held a duly called
public hearing on April 3, 1996 on the proposed use of Community Improvement Funds;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Plymouth, Minnesota, that the use of $100,000 from the Community Improvement Fund
for the planning and design of the East Medicine Lake Trail is hereby appiuved.
