HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1996-103• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. % - 103 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID 1ICINE LAKE OUTLET STRUCTURE CITY PROJECT NO. 940 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Medicine Lake Outlet Structure and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Sunram Construction , Inc. Carl Bolander & Sons, Inc. Global Specialty Contractors, Inc. Lametti & Sons, Inc. Jay Brothers, Inc. Rice Lake Contracting Sheryl's Construction, Inc. $113,281.50 136,620.,)0 138,074.00 146.580.00 185,041.50 168,600.00 276,060.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Sunram Construction, Inc. of Corcoran, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE rr HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Subject to receipt of the required Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' permit and approval of the contract by the Bassett Creek Water Management Commission, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Sunram Construction, Inc. of Corcoran, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for Medicine Lake Outlet Structure according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of $113,281.50. 2. The City Manager is directed to communicate in writing to residents, contractors, and the Medicine take City Council the preliminary schedule wi constriction on this project, as well as the projected timetable for the closure of the bridge. 3. The , Ity Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return, forthwith to all bidders and the &poste ; made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
