RESOLUTION NO, 96 -16
REQUESTING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
TO
CONDUCT A SPEED ZONING STUDY
VICKSBURG LANE FROM TRUNK HIGHWAY 55 TO COUNTY
ROAD 6
WHEREAS, the current speed limit on Vicksburg Lane was established by MnDot in 1982
after the existing roadway was improved from a two lane rural to a four lane urban
section; and
WHEREAS, considerable development has occurred adjacent to the roadway in the past
14 years causing a significant increase in traffic.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City request the Minnesota Department
of Transportation to undertake an engineering study to determine the safe and reasonable
speed on the following road:
Vicksburg Lane from Trunk Highway 55 to Cowity Road 6.
Adopted by the City Council on January 9, 1996.
