Resolution No. 95-787
Whereas, FCA, Ltd. dba Life Time Fitness Clt', s has provided the City with a letter of
Intent to construct a health and fitness club nea: 36th Avenue and Plymouth Boulevard;
and,
Whereas, FCA has also offered to (1) constrict additional indoor and outdoor leisure
pools; (2) own, operate, maintain, and mark4A the pools at no cost to the City; and (3)
provide daily fee access at attain specified rtes; and,
Whereas, FCA has offered to provide the above services at a cost of $1,500,000 plus
attain specified site improvement costs including grading, NURP pond construction,
wetland mitigation, lardscAping, and irriga -ion; and,
Whereas, neither the letter of intent nor the City's acceptance and approval of it
constitute binding agreements on either the City or FCA, Ltd.; and,
Whereas, the letter of intent lams been evolving document that may ^ontinue to need
further amendment and clarification; and,
Whereas, the City Council wishes to continue negotiations with FCA, Ltd. to further
refine the concept in live letter of intent and proceed to develop a detailed contractual
agreemcnt that is satisfactory to the City, FCA, and the citizens of Plymouth;
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth that the Letter
of Intent from FCA, Ltd. be approved as a non-binding concept for future negotiations,
subject to further review and comment by the City Council during the next 45 days.
