CITY OF PLYMOUTH
RESOLUTION NO. 95- 771
WHEREAS, the Traffic Enforcement Unit and the patrol division of the Police
Department have been effective in reducing the complaints of residential speeding and
this work needs to continue to keep the program effective; and
WHEREAS, through this effort, the 1995 Court fines and forfeitures receivable
should exctxd the amount budgeted producing approximately a $36,000 surplus in this
account; and
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Department has requested to purchase three capital
purchases totaling $8,500 with part of these surplus funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution authorizing
$8,500 in capital purchases to include a laser radar and related accessories, port*le wheel
t load weight scales, and a traffic countertspeed display unit from the General Fund
Contingency Account.
