CITY OF PLYMOUTH
RESOLUTION NO. 95-705
AWARDING THE CONTRACT TO MSA CONSULTING ENGINEERS FOR A
CONTINUATION OF THE SUMP PUMP INSPECTION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City has received a proposal from MSA Consulting Engineers for
continuation of the Sump Pump Inspection program for 5000 homes, and
WHERZ AS, this proposal is at reduced rates from the initial phase of the inspection
program, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed continuation program and has
authorized the number of inspections to be increased from 5,000 to an amount not to
exceed 10,000, and
WHEREAS, the revised fee information is as follows for up to 10,000 inspections:
Public Education, forms update and jackets $32250
Inspections (10,000 @ $24) 240,000
Re -inspections (est. 1,000 @ $43) 43.000
Total $MIM
The fees for inspections and re -inspections will apply to all inspections initiated by April
30,1996, and printing costs of the mailings will be a cost to be paid by the City, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into a contract for inspection services for the Sunip
Pump Inspection Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
O.T THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the Finance D:.-ector is
authorized to enter into a contract with MSA Consulting Engineers in the amount not to
exceed $286,250 in accordance with the specifications of the contract and fltnding for the
program will be from the Sewer Fund.
