AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A MODIFICATION TO
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO, 7 AND PUBLICATION OF PUBLIC
HEARING NOTICE THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth (the "City") is authorized under Minnesota
Statutes, Sections 469.124 to 469.134 (the "Develoi,ment District Act") to establish and
create development districts in order to provide impetus for commercial development; to
increase employment; to protect pedestrians frog- vehicle traffic and inclement weather,
to provide the necessary linkage between periph�: ral parking facilities and places of
employment and shopping; to provide off-street parking to serve the shoppers and
employees of the district; and to provide other facilities as are outlined in the
development program adopted by the governing body; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the De ;elopment District Act, the City has by the
passage of Resolution No. 88-861, dated December 19, 1988, adopted and established
the City of Plymouth Development Program for Development District Number 7 (the
"Development District"); and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the estati:hment of the Development District, the
City has determined to amend the Development District Program and modify the
boundaries of the Development District in order to accommodate the changing
development patterns and needs within the City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Development District Act, the City shall consult with
its Planning Department and shall hold a public hearing on the designation of the
boundaries of the Development District Act, as modified:
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE LT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Plymouth, Minnesota that:
1. The City hereby preliminarily approves the amendment of the
Development District Program and the modification of the boundaries of the
Development District, subject ir, all events to compliance with the notice and public
hearing requirements of the Act and to the final approval by the City.
2. The City Manager and staff of the City, City Bond Counsel and financial
advisor to the City are hereby authorized to consult with the City Planning Department
and to prepare an amendment of the Development District Program and the
modification of the bouudarics of the Development District, and to publish a publi.,
hearing notice for a public hearing thereon, to be heli at the regularly schedule., City

Council meeting on November 14, 1995 at 7:00 p.m. as required under the
Development District Act.
3. T1iis Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
hereof.
Adopted by the Plymouth City Council on October 24, 1995.
