WHEREAS, the renovation of the Wdsting Council Chambers is the last phase in the
overall expansion and renovation of City Center, and
WHEREAS, final plans have been developed for the project which will install a new
audio-vWW system and make necessary aesthetic changes to the room to improve cable
casting capabilities; and
WHEREAS, the construction project budget is $668,000, funded from the Cable
Television Reserve Fund ($500,000) and the Project Administration Fund ($168,000); and
WHEREAS, staff is directed to pursue all feasible options to further reduce project
costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Plymouth, Minnesota does hereby approve the plans and budget of $668,000 for the
Council Chambers Renovation Project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is authorized to procoed with the release of
documents necessary to receive construction bids on the project.
