APPROVAL OF CONSTRUCTION/COST SHARING AGREEMENT WITH BASSETT
CREEK WMO AND ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BARR
ENGINEERING CO.
MEDICINE LAKE DAM REPLACEMENT
CITY PROJECT 940
WHEREAS, The Bassett Creek Water Management Organization has been working to provide
funding for the replacement of the Medicine Lake Dam; and
WHEREAS, Funding has been obtained from the Department of Natural Resources, the
County, and Bassett Creek Water Management Organization; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is the agency responsible to reconstruct the dam since it is
within our boundaries after funding is provided; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into an agreement with the Bassett Creek WMO and Barr
Engineering Co.
NOW, T IMREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
enter into agreement with Bassett Creek WMO for the funding and construction of the
Medicine Lake Dam.
Further, that the City Manager is authorized to enter into an engineering services agreement
with Barr Engineering Co. for design serjices at a cost not to exceed $23,500.
Further, that the City portion of the funding estimated at $15,000 is provided from the
Watershed Districts, Fund 214.
Adopted by the City Council on October 3, 1995.
