HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1995-389• GIS CcnsWtsnt Service 07/05/95 Page 4 CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 95- 389 APPROVING ADDITIONAL CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR A GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth wishes to further develop its geographic information system (GIS) to provide information needed for the cluster planning project and the Comprehensiva Plan for Northwest Plymouth, and for services needed to transfer data and bring GIS applications in-house, and WHEREAS, on February 28, 1994, the City Council adopted resolution 94-118, authorizing a contract with Dahlgren, Shardlow and Uban (DSU) to assist the City with the fust steps of creating a GIS to be used to perform the needed analysis; and WHEREAS, on August 29, 1994, the City Council adopted resolution 94-S00, authorizing the manager to extend the contract to provide additional services; WHEREAS, the City now wishes to secure additional services to complete development of the GIS, to bring the GIS system in-house and to provide additional data analysis to support a number of planning projects; NOW, THE=ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the City Manager is authorized to; 1. extend the contract with Dahlgren, Shardlow and Uban (DSU) for additional services and out-of-pocket costs not to exceed $16,800 for work on the geographic information system (GIS) to provide information and support for various planning activities, and for services needed to transfer data and bring GIS applications in-house and 2. spend up to $3,500 for additional data acquisition for the GIS. FURTHER, BE II RESOLVED, that funding for these activities shall come from Project Administration Funds set aside for the update of the Comprehensive Plan for Northwest Plymouth. Adopted by the City Council on July 11, 1995.
