HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1995-353CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 93 -353 REQUESTING EMOMPIN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO CONDUCT A TRAFFIC STUDY OF COUNTY ROAD 101/1V> MDIA ROAD TERSE('TiON FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL OR FOUR-WAY STOP WARRANTS Wi113RBAS, County Road 101 is designated as a minor arterial rad and Medina Road is designated as a mkjor collector rad in the City's Thoroughfare Guide Plan; and WIEBREAS, significant development has occurred near the intersection of County Road 101 and Medina Road causing an increase in traffic; and WHEREAS, the speed limit along County Road 101 south of Highway 55 is 50 m.p.h. making it more difficult to access County Rad 101 from Medina Road. NOW, THERMRB, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCEL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That a traffic study be conducted by the Hennepin County Public Works Department to determine if a traffic signal or four-way stop warrant is met at the intersection of County Road 101 and Medina Road.
