RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 331
REQUESTING MNDOT
TO RECONSIDER SPEED LLMiT
FERNBROOH LANE FROM
43RD AVENUE TO SCHMIDT LANE ROAD
WHER&U0 by Minnesota Department of Transportation Commissioner order Naiad
April 5, 1945 the speed limit on Fernbrook Lane from 43rd Avenue to Schmidt Lake
Road was awablished at 45 miles per hour; and
WHEREAS, the speed limit on the same roadway from County Road 9 w 43rd Avenue
was established at 40 m.p.h.; and
WHBREAS, the entire street is adjacent to residential areas and the character of the
street does not change at 43rd Avenue; and
WH UMS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the street should have a uniform
speed limit of 40 m.p.h.
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT HMMY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA; That the Minnesota Department of
Transportation is requested to review and reconsider the speed limit determination on
Fernbrook Lane between 43rd Avenue and Schmidt Lake Road and establish a 40
M.p.h. Shead limit.
Adopted by the City Council on June 6, 1995.
