RESOLUTION NO. 95- 302
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION AUTHORITY TO THE
SUBURBAN HENNEPIN REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Suburban Hennepin Regional Park District is in the process of developing a
regional trail from 494 to Hwy. 169 along the CNW Railroad right of way, and
WHEREAS, the Park District has not been able to secure the necessary easements from the
railroad,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HBRBSY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, M04NESOTA, that the Suburban Hennepin Regional Park District is
authorized to condemn an easement from the CNW Railroad between 494 and 169 for the
purpose of establishing a regional trail corridor, and further, &.e City will jointly cooperate
with the Park District in the development of a feasibility report on the development of a trail
down the east side of Medicine Lake and around the southen tip to West Medicine Lake Drive
and that the cost will be shared with the Park District with funding to be taken from park
dedication account 218-218.
