HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1995-267CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 267 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1995 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 501 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on March 21, 1993 and May 2, 1995 the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of certain streets in Maintenance Districts: District 25 - All strata located west of Fernbrook Lana, south of County Road No. 9 generally east of Juneau Dane and north of 37th Avenue; District 29 - All streets, located west of Larch Lane, south of Schmidt Lake Road generally east of Pineview Lane and north of 46th Avenue North; District 36 - Plymouth Boulevard from State Highway 55 to 36th Avenue North and 36th Avenue North from Plymouth Boulevard to Vicksburg Lane; and Ranchview Lane - from Gleason Lake Drive to 7th Avenue North by subgrade correction, crack filling, bituminous overlays, partial reconstruction and total resconstruction and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will he received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on May 26, 1995 at each time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, PlymoutL, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
