AUTHORIMG EXECUTION OF A CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE
AGREEMENT WITH THE SOO LINE RAILROAD (CP RAIL SYSTEM) FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF FLASHING LIGHT SIGNALS wrm HALF ROADWAY
GATES AT THE PINEVIEW LANE GRADE CROSSING
WHEREAS, the City has requested the Soo Line Railroad to install additional warning
devices in the form of crossing gates at the Pineview Lane crossing; and
WHEREAS, the City in a November 17, 1992 letter to the Soo Line Railroad Company
requested the warning improvement installation at a cost to be paid 100% by the City; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation Rail Division has indicated in a
July 7, 1993 letter to the City that they have no objection to the addition of gate arms to
the signals at Pineview Lane;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT KMUBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA; That the Mayor is authorized to execute the
Construction and Maintenance Agreement covering the installation of flashing light signals
with half roadway gates at the Pineview Lane railroad crossing of the Soo Line Railroad
(CP Rail System) at a cost to the City of $68,033.
