CITY OF PLYMOUTH
RESOLUTION NO. 95-181
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE TELECOMMUMCATIONS SYSTEM TO
FUJITSU BUSP40S CObIIdMCATION SYSTEMS
WHEREAS, the City has advertised for a telecommunication system to replace the outdated
System, and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened on March 10, 1995 from three bidders:
1. Vicom Telecommunications Systems Inc. $2449995
2. Fujitsu Business Communication Systems 261,029
3. Mitel Telephone Systems Inc. 324,547
WHEREAS, Vicom Telecommunication Systems Inc, is not considered the lowest responsible
bidder because they did not offer the Novell Network interface and meet the minimum
specifications, and Fujitsu Business Communication Systems compiled with the minimum
specifications and is determined to be the lowest responsible bidder,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CM COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the Finance Director is authorized to enter
into an agreement with the lowest responsible bidder, Fujitsu Communication Systems
Incorporated for:
Base bid $261,029
Less fiber optic installation to Public Works facilities -59,653
Add training tapes 200
Add Performance bond 21207
Add additional View Mail users 5,933
Total bid award S2M
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funding for the telecommunications system be
provided from the Public Facilities Fund.
Adopted by the City Council on March 21, 1995.
