HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1995-140CITY OF PLYMOUTH 1 IF 1 1 VAA V 1 WHffitBAS, the City Manager, in a February 1, 1994 memo to the Water Quality Committee, suggested that the Committee consider changing it name and emphads from solely water quality matter to environmental quality issues; and WHEREAS, at its monthly meetings throughout the past year the Water Quality Committee has considuW the various environmental categories suggested by the City Manager, and WHEPMAS, the Committee conducted a special meeting in October to review an environmental assessment woricaheet and submitted comments in conformance with the public comment requirement; and WHEREAS, at its November 1, 1994 meeting, the Water Quality Committee passed a motion requesting the City Council approve a change in the name and !unction of the Committee to that of an environmental quality committee. t NOW, EFORE, BE 1T HEIMY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, N11Ti M(YrA: that the Water Quality Committee name be changed to the Plymouth Environmental Quality Committee and the objective, composition, and areas of concentration contained within Resolution No. 94.44 be revised as indicated in the attached revision to this resolution as shown in a Legislative fopoat. The Committee shall consist of seven members, with one member from each of tho city's four wards and three members at -large. Members shall serve threeyear terms subject to a six year maximum as set forth in Council policy. The Chnir shall be selected by the membership. The Director of Park and Recreation and City Engineer or designee shall provide staff assistance to the Committee. To accomplish their objective, the Committee will. 1.
