95-135 RESOLUTION PROCLAIM[NG
VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA WEEK MARCH S -12,1995
WHEREAS, the Volunteers of America, a human service organization, is celebrating its
99th year of service to the people of Minnesota and the nation; and
WHEREAS, the Volunteers of American provides a wide range of services in Hennepin
County, including homes for the mentally ill, congregate diming, home delivered meals,
children's emergency shelters, foster treatment homes, and work -release correctional
programs; and
WHEREAS, the Volunteers of America, through staff and volunteers have an impact on
the lives of Plymouth residents;
NOW, T IMMEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the week of March S -12, 1995, shall be proclaimed as
Volunteers of America Week in Plymouth, Minnesota to recognize 99 years of service to the
community.
Adopted by the City Council on February 21, 1995.
