RESOLUTION AWARDING BID
T.H. 55 AT C.S.A.H. 24
TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEM
C1TY PROJECT NO. 310
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the T.A. 55 at
C.S.A.H. 24 Traffic Control Signal System and all necessary appurtenances, b'ris wem
received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:
Design Electric, Inc. $89,777.26
Eagan McKay Electric, Inc. $91,411.00
Killmer Electric Co., Inc. $96,930.00
Electric Service Co. $97,160.50
Collins Electrical Systems, Inc. $256,998.00
WHEREAS; it appears that Design Electric, Inc. of St. Cloud, MN is the lowest responsible
bidder, complying with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CrrY OF PLYMOUIVI,n •
1. Contingent on receiving written State Aid approval of the bids for City Project No. 310 the
Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract
with Design Electric, Inc. of St. Cloud, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the
construction of T.H. 55 at C.S.A.H. Traffic Control System according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City
Clerk in the amount of $890777.26.
2. The City Cletk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders and the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
