WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth under the Minneaola Tnmak Demonstration Propam, commonly known as 00pt-Out,w has initialed the Plymotttb Metrolink and Plymouth DW -A - Ride T ansh Propams; and WHEREAS, the Cky annually submits ao application to the Regional Twoak Board for $9 flmdhsg required for the provision of such programa; and WHEREAS, the City Coundl has been apprised of the propound program for 1994, including its M mft implications; and WHEREAS; the staff is currently preparing the required application to the Regional Transit Board for the f udisB required for the pmvWon of suds programs in :995 through June 309 1997; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved the propoxd 1994 Teamit Application to Regional Transit Board as contained in the staff report dated March 16, 1994 by the adoption of Resolution 94-165 on March 21, 1994; and WHEREAS, Raohrtion No. 94-165 authorized the Mayor and City manager to voter into contractual agreements with the Regiond Transit Board and MTC, and the MTC has eosened into a contract with National School Bus Company as a subcontractor to the MTC for the provision of transit services for 1994 for Plymouth Metrolink; and WHEREAS, Resolution no. 93-3% adopted by the City Council on July 19, 1993 approved a one year contract with the Ml'C and National School Bus Company for transit services from August 1, r M through July 31, 094 and this contract is about to expire and it h in the parties' best interest to extend the existing contract for an eight week period through September 25, 1994; and WHEREAS, this contract extension provides for a total operating no per revenue hour for large buses provided by the MC110 in the amount of $85.34 per hour, and a total rate per revenue hour for the subcontracted smaller buses provided by National School Bus Company In the amount of $76.68 per hour for operating costs and $20.81 per hour for capital coats. NOW, TORE, BE IT HMMY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it should, and hereby does: Authorize the Mayor and City Manger to enter into an extension of the contractual agreements with the MCTO and National School Bus Company as an approved subcontractor for the provision of transit services for the period from August 1, 1994 through Septembc. 25, 1994 based on the contract prices detailed above.
