PROCURFIV M OF LEGAL SZRVICiS
WHEREAS it is in the bar interets of the City and of the City :ouncll to regularly
review the services pm Wed by the City Attorney, and;
WHEREAS the City Charter grants the City Council a direct . Ae in procuring the lqd
services of the City, and;
WHEREAS it is the expectation of the Council at the present time that the City will
benefit by avoiding an in-house attorney because all aw asary legal services may be
procured at an overall lower coat from an outside firm, and;
WHEREAS the Council desiras to preserve the freedom and confident provided it by
a retainer agreernet with the office of City Attorney;
IMRBFORB BB IT RESOLVED that the City Manager shall solicit proposals for
legal service for the City of Plymouth on a contract basis only.
