VICKSBURG LANE FROM SCHM W LAKE ROAD TO COUNTY ROAD 47
CITY PROJECT NO. 401
WHEREAS, the Minnerota Department of T aorportation has established standards for roadway design; and
WMREAS, in order to utilize State Aid fading, it is necessary to meet such standards; and
WHEREAS, Vicksburg Lane from Schmidt Labe Road to County Road 47 is on the state Aid system; and
WHEREAS; Vicksburg Laos is in need of rehabilitation due to age and a poor surface condition; and
WHEREAS, when traffic conditions warrant, Vicksburg Lanais ultimately plumed to be re000stnrcted to
State Aid urban standards with curb and gutter and with the necessary number of hetes, width and geometrics
to be determined by future studies; and
WIiBRBAS, such present rehabilitation would be temporary in nature until such time as Vicksburg Lane is
improved to mat urban State Aid re"iromeots; and
WHE1U S, in order to implement such rdnbilitation, a variance is required from State Aid standards;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, kIINNESOTA:
The City Council of the City of Plymouth requests a variance from standa tis for roadway Vertical curve
lengths and for Municipal State Aid project funding, and that the request is for a variance from Minnesota
Rules for State Aid Operations 8820.99259 adopted pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapters 161 and 162, so
U to permit the rehabilitation of Vicksburg Lane from Schmidt Labe Road to County Road 47 utilising the
existing vertical alignment and a design speed of less than 40 miles per hour.
Adopted by the City Council on May 21 1994.
