PLANS AND SPSCMCATIONS
NORTH HIGHWAY SS FRONTAGE ROAD
RELOCATION EAST OF SOU'L'S SHORE DRIVE
CITY PROJECT NO. 406
WHEREAS, on January 24, 1994 the City Council adopted a resohrtion ordering a Prdimioary
I%.-* eering Report for improvements to relocate the exisdsig north Highway SS frontage , ad
a" Highway SS and improvmnatb to South Shore Drive at the frontage road
connection; and
WHEREAS, said report was received by the City Council on Manch 7. 1994; and
WHEREAS, said improvements are necessary to improve safety on South Shore Drive st the
frontage road connection;
NOW, 78ERB8 M BB IT iiEt®Y RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Preliminary
Engineering Report received by the City Council on March 7, 1994
2. Sagan-Fame-Fausch, Inc. is designated as engineer for the improvement.
They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such
improvements.
3. The Engineering staff is directed to negotiate for the purchase of the
necessary right of way for the relocated frontage road.
4. Holiday Station Stores shall pay to the City of Plymouth $34,230, their
estimated assessment for the benefit from the improvements. If Holiday
Station Stoma does not proceed with the reconanwdon of their retail facility
and does not provide the right of way from their property to relocate the
frontage road, these funds will be used to reimburse the City for costs
Incurred in preparing the plana -ind specifications and for acquisition of right
of way. If the project proceeds to construction, these funds will be applied
as a prepayment for the assessment on the Holiday Station Stores property.
Adopted by the City Council on April 4, 1994.
