APPROVING THE 1994 APPLICATION TO THE
REGIONAL TRANSIT BOARD FOR THE PROVISION OF
PLYMOUTH METROLINK AND
PLYMOUTH DIANA -RIDE SERVICES AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACTS REQUIRED FOR THE
I MPLE1V1EENTATION OF THE APPLICATION
WHEREAS, The City of Plymouth under the Minnesota Transit Demonstration Program
commonly known as "Opt -Out" has initiated the Plymouth Metrolink and Plymouth Dial -A -
Ride Transit Programs; and
WHEREAS, the City annually submits an application including a management plan and budget
to the Regional Transit Board to obtain the funding required for the provision of such
Programs; and
WHEREAS, the Regional Transit Board granted approval to the City's 1994 application for
funding, including the management plan and budget on November 15,1993; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been apprised of the proposed program for 1994, including
its funding implications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CI'T'Y OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it should and hereby does:
1. Approve the 1994 Management Plan, Budget and Agreement for Transit
Subsidy as required by the Regional Transit Board in order for them to provide
the necessary transit subsidy to the City of Plymouth for the continued operation
of the Plymouth Metrolink and Plymouth DW -A -Ride Transit Programs.
2. Authorize the Mayor and City Manager to enter into the contmchW agreements
with the Regional Transit Board, MTC, and National School Bus Company for
the provision of transit services and funding for 1994 for Plymouth Metrolink
and Dial -A -Ride.
