HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1994-164es CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION % - 164 INSTALLATION OF STOP SIGNS WHEREAS, in order to provide for orderly movement of traffic and provide for the safety of the public it is recommended that a atop sign be placed at certain locations; and WHEREAS, a traffic study dated October 20, 1989 prepared by Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc., indicates that if stop signage is to be installed somewhere along the "minor collector" designated as Peony Lane/19th Avenue/Urbandale Lanne/Shadyvie:w Lane between County Road 6 and 26th Avenue, then an all -way stop could be used at the intersection of Urbandale Lane and 20th Avenue; and WHEREAS, neighborhood concern over speeding traffic and the safety issues arising therefrom. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THB CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That an all -way stop sign be installed at the following location: The four -legged intersection of Urbandale Lane and 20th Avenue FURTHER, that the four-way stop shall be reviewed in one year to determine its effectiveness.
