RESOLUTION AWARDING Ben
FUM RESCUBMAZARDOUS MATERIAL TRUNK UNIT
WM REAS, the City Council has authorized the receipt of bids for the purtdtan of a Poe
reacu ilwardous material trunk unit and a materials trailer; and
WiTB W9 said equipment is required to adequately provide city services; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with State Statute, bid spedticatims were prepared and distributed
and the following bid proposals received and opened on February 15, 1994:
$2329610 $489315
VIEMRBAS, the General Safety Equipment Corporation submitted alternates as provided for
within the specifications; and
W IRBAS, after analyzing the alternate it is determined that it is in the best interest of the
City t., purchase the wait with a Ford truck chassis, including the exhaust braking system and
an AM/FM radio.
NOW, THEMORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THS
CITY OF PLYMOUrR, MINNESOTA,:
1. The bid of Gmw.d Safety Equipe: int Corporation is declaM to be rospoadve to the
advertisement for bids.
2. That the City hereby acmpts the bid for one tin rescue/hazardous material unit in the
amount of $233,360 with a Ford truck chassis, including the exhaust braking system and
an AM/FM radio. (Brae bid: $232,610; exhaust brake: $2,500; radio: $250.)
3. Funds for the purchase aro allocated from the Central Equipment Reserve Fund (602-602)
In the amount of $235,360.
4. The bW for the material trailer is rejected.
