PROCLAMATION
VOLUNTERRS OF AMERICA WMM MARCH 6 - 139 1914
W1MIREAS, the Volunteers of America, a human service organization, is celebrating its
98th year of service to the people of Minnesota and the nation; and
WHEREAS, the Volunteers of American provides a wide range of services in Hennepin
County, including homes for the mentally ill, congregate dining, home delivered meals,
chlldreo's emergency shelter., foster treatment homes, and work -release conectional
programs; and
WHEIREAS, the Volunteers of America, through staff and volunteers have an impact on
the lives of Plymouth residents;
NOW, T EWJWORB, BB IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MMNBSOTA that the week of March 6 - 13, 19940 shall be proclaimed as
Volunteen of America Week in Plymouth, Minnesota to recognize 98 years of service to the
community.
