RESOLUTION NO. 94-23
APPROVING PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF AN
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT WORKSHEET (EAW) FOR THE PROJECT
PROPOSED BY DANIEL DEVELOPMENT COMPANY KNOWN AS "THE
PONDS AT BASS CREEK" (93106)
WHEREAS, The Environmental Quality Board received a petition requesting an
Environmental Assessment Worksheet dated December 17, 1993 and the City received
the same petition on December 20, 1993; and
WHEREAS, an Environmental Assessment Worksheet was prepared for a previous
project proposed on this site in 1988; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 88-397 the City declared a finding of "No Need" for an
Environmental Impact Statement based upon the review of the Environmental
Assessment Worksheet dated May 17, 1988 for Harrison Hills Ponds proposed by
HEW-LYN, Inc./FAC Development Corporation (97109); and
WHEREAS, the 1988 EAW has been reviewed and it has been found that the standards
for environmental protection have changed significantly since the preparation of the
EAW; specifically, that standards for preserving wetlands and protecting water quality
have been changed, making the 1988 EAW inadequate for assessing environmental
affects.
NOW, TR0ZEFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it hereby does determine that an
Environmental Assessment Worksheet shall be prepared for the proposed development
known as "The Ponds at Bass Creek."
