HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1993-7640 CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 93-764 APPROVING ADDITIONAL CURBSIDE RECYCLING COLLECTION DAY WHEREAS, Waste Management, Inc., contracted curbside recycling hauler for the City of Plymouth, provides excellent curbside recycling collection service to the residents of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is adding 500 to 600 new housing units each year straining Waste Management's ability to provide services beyond those required by the contract; and WHEREAS, Waste Management, Inc. agrees to undertake informing residents of this change through fliers delivered tc each household in the affected area, fliers placed in recycling bins of those in the affected area for two weeks prior to the change, continuing the present collection schedule for two weeks after the affected area has been changed to Fridays, leaving education tags to alert residents to the change, revising the current City Recycling Guide, and submitting all above materials for City staff approval prior to distribution to residents; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That Waste Management, Inc. may begin weekly collection of recyclables in the area of the city bounded by Vicksburg Lane on the west, County Road 6 and Highway 55 on the north, and the city limits on the south and east on Fridays beginning the first Friday of February, 1994.
