HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1993-709RESOLUTION NO. 93-709 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID DUNKIRK LANE UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 308 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Dunkirk Lane, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMP TOTAL BID S.H. Hentges & Sons $ 918,739.50 Ryan Contracting 973,606.77 C.S. McCrossan Construction 1,000,599.80 S.R. Weidema 1,032,506.75 Northdale Construction 1,035,382.48 WHEREAS, it appears that S.M. Hentges & Sons. of Shakopee, MN is the lowest responsible bidder. complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Hayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with S.H. Hentges & Sons of Shakopee, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the Dunkirk Lane Utility & Street Improvement Project according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $918,739.50. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
