HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1993-630CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 93- 630 CONVEYANCE OF TAX FORFEITED PROPERTY TO THE PLYMOUTH HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY WHEREAS, both the Plymouth City Council and Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) have witnessed a growing need to assist lower income families to secure affordable home ownership opportunities in the City of Plymouth; and, WHEREAS, the availability of such housing is lessening, especially for larger families, due to the high cost of property and an increased demand for affordable single family homes; and, WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council wishes to assist the Plymouth HRA in providing housing opportunities; NOW, THMWORE , BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it conveys the tax forfeited property described as follows: West 102 feet of the North 220 feet of Southwest Quarter, except road, Section 15, Township 118, Range 22; to the Plymouth HRA for the purpose of combining said property with adjacent property to create a buildable lot conforming to city ordinances and regulations upon which affordable single-family housing can be developed and sold to a qualified low income buyer.
