RESOLUTION NO. 93-451
DENYING THE APPLICATIONS OF CALIBER AND H.I. ENTERPRISES FOR
TAX INCREMENT FINANCING ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth invited applications for Tax Increment Financing
Assistance in existing districts by Resolution 93-219 approved April 19, 1993; and
WHEREAS, four applications have been presented to the City as a result of that
application; and
WHEREAS, a staff team has preliminarily evaluated each of the applications with
respect to state statutes as well as City development plans and goals;
WHEREAS, the staff review team has recommended that the applications of Caliber
and H.I. Enterprises not be approved due to the difficulty in finding that the projects
would not occur but for the providing of tax increment financing assistance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the applications of Caliber and H.I. Enterprises
not be approved because the City Council cannot reasonably find that the projects
would not proceed without Tax Increment Financing as required by State Statutes.
