HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1993-376RESOLUTION N0. 93- 376 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID SELF CONTAINED ASPHALT PATCH UNIT WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the receipt of bids for the purchase of a self contained asphalt patch unit for the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, said equipment is required to adequately provide City services; and WHEREAS, in accordance with State Statute, bid specifications were prepared and distributed and bid proposals received and opened on June 10, 1993; and WHEREAS, the following proposals were received: A.B.M. Equipment Company $72,854 Ruffridge-Johnson, Inc. 70,583 Stepp Manufacturing, Inc. 65,359 WHEREAS, the proposals of Ruffridge-Johnson, Inc. and Stepp Manufacturing, Inc. were non responsive bids since they did not meet the minimum specifications; and WHEREAS, the bid of A.B.M. Equipment Company is in conformance with the City's specifications for this equipment and it is recommended that it be accepted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The bid of A.B.M. Equipment Company is declared the lowest responsible bidder. 2. That the City hereby accepts the bid in the amount of $72,854 and funds for this purchase are authorized from the Central Equipment Fund (602-602) in the amount of $22,854 and from the Street Division Fund (101-172) in the amount of $50,000.
