POLICY FOR COST SHARING WITH SCHOOL DISTRICTS
WHEN SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTIONS ARE HELD IN
CONJUNCTION WITH CITY ELECTIONS
Resolution No. 93-374
July 12, 1993
The City Council authorizes the following policy for cost sharing when school district elections
are held in conjunction with City elections:
1. The following items will be cost -shared on a proportional basis:
A. Expenses for election equipment and supplies;
B. Fees for use of polling locations;
C. Salaries for temporary personnel (election judges), including training;
D. Transportation costs;
E. Required election notices;
F. Communications devices;
G. Postage;
H. Ballot printing.
2. The proportional costs for these items will be determined by a formula using the
percentage of Plymouth precincts in which that school district is included and the
percentage of City vs. School District names and/or questions on the ballot. In split
precincts of more than one school district, the percentage will be further reduced to
reflect the actual number of registered school district voters in that precinct.
